Over the last few days, several items that I have written about in the past have resurfaced, due mostly to the money from the stimulus bill, which restarted a discussion about the East Milwaukee Street Tunnel. For that purpose, I'm linking here to an earlier post where I explain the reasons behind my opposition to this project.

Also, there was some discussion on the Stan Milam's show recently about the Jackson Street bridge, and I've written on that topic in the past as well. I have also requested and received information on the Jackson Street Bridge from the staff.
Thus, I'm linking to a couple of earlier posts; one detailing my concern about the importance of maintaining our infrastructure, and another post from Jack Messer, summarizing what has happened with that project up til now. It was written in July, but it does not appear like much has changed since.
